Explosion Dance Spring Recitals are great Family Entertainment April 14 and May 3

Creativity and Artistry! Explosion Dance is all of that and much more! The Annual Spring Recitals run Sunday April 14 at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm and then on May 3 at 7 pm. All recitals are at the Performing Arts Centre attached to the St. John Paul II Catholic High School located at 300 Arbour Hills Blvd. Grande Prairie.

Grande Prairie Live Theatre is selling the tickets online at gplt.ca, in person at their City Centre location behind the Curling Rink or over the phone at 780 538 1616. Regular tickets are $14, Youth 17 and under are $10. There is an additional purchase fee added to online purchases only.

1)Tickets go on sale for the 10:30 am April 14 Recital on Tuesday March 26 online at 11:00 am online, in person or by phone.

2)Tickets go on sale for the 1:30 am April 14 Recital on Wednesday March 27 online at 11:00 am online, in person or by phone.

3)Tickets go on sale for the 4:30 am April 14 Recital on Thursday March 28 online at 11:00 am online, in person or by phone.

4)Tickets go on sale for the 7 pm May 3 Recital at a date TBA.

Open Group Auditions for One Act Plays Feb 24 1-5 pm

Peace Region One Act Play Festival
Group Auditions February 24 from 1 to 5 pm at GPLT

Acting in a One Act Play is the perfect start to becoming an important member of the local community theatre and film scene. It is a fun time, too!

The Directors of the Plays being entered in this year’s Alberta Drama Festival Association’s Regional One Act Play Festival. are looking for a mix of new and experienced actors. The plays are challenging, entertaining and SHORT. Limited rehearsals are easy to fit into a busy schedule. Grande Prairie Live Theatre will provide the venue and rehearsal space. You provide your creativity and enthusiasm.
The Festival runs April 26 and 27. Each play is performed one time.

GPLT is hosting a How to Direct A One Act Workshop on Saturday February 23. You are welcome to pre-register and attend this free workshop. This workshop is limited to 20. This is a great opportunity to gain some insight into the whole acting in a one act play experience.

Scripts will be available for actors to peruse on February 18. GPLT will be offering rehearsal space for groups to practice.

Winning play goes to the Provincial Festival May 3, 4, and 5 in High River to represent our region.
