June 30 @ 4:30 is deadline for GPLT Volunteer Award Nominations

June 30 @ 4:30 PM is the deadline to submit your confidential nomination for a deserving GPLT Volunteer to receive one of our three Volunteer awards. Download the nomination form with a full description of the award criteria at:

Submit nominations in confidence to manager@gplt.ca or drop off nominations at the GPLT Box Office. The successful award recipients are chosen by the GPLT Board. All nominations are kept confidential.
Awards will be presented at the GPLT AGM on September 20, 2020 at 2 pm.
The awards are:
THE JENNIE TETREAU AWARD for consistent long-term contribution.
THE SHORT BUT SWEET AWARD for consistent short term contribution by a person age 18 or over.
THE RISING STAR AWARD for consistent short term contribution by a person less than 18 years of age.

GPLT Season 1st Half Revealed including Auditions

The First Four Plays in GPLT’s 2020-2021 season have been announced. The second half of the season will be announced 2 pm on September 20 at the GPLT AGM. Due to current Covid restrictions live theatres cannot perform musicals at this time. GPLT ALWAYS does at least one musical. We are hoping we can announce at least one musical at the September AGM.
The four plays are:
1) A Dramatic Comedy about Love of Family = Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan with Johnny Donahoe and directed by Desiree Klause with Assistant Director Karlee Kapler. Performances run Oct 8 to 24. AUDITIONS: July 28 and 29.
2) A Farce = Nana’s Naughty Knickers by Katherine DiSavino and directed by Tina Kennedy. Performances run November 19-December 12. AUDITIONS: August 15 and 16.
3) A Serious Play about Love of Family = The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble by Beth Graham and directed by Agnes Pasko. Performances January 14-30. AUDITIONS: June 28 and 29. A Canadian Play
4) A Serious Play about Teen Issues performed by Teens = Mirror Game by Dennis Foon and directed by Amy Retzlaff with Assistant Director Clay Wyght. Performances run February 25-March 6. AUDITIONS: November 22 and 23. A Canadian Play
