Looking for Entries for the April 23 One Act Play Festival- Entry Deadline is April 4

Is there a one act play you have always wanted to produce? Need an outlet for your own new play? New at directing and want to try your hand at a smaller script? Enter the Alberta Drama Festival Association Peace Region One Act Play Festival! Hosted by the Grande Prairie Live Theatre on Saturday April 23, 2022.
GPLT will provide the venue, rehearsal space, audience, and professional adjudication; you provide the script, creative team, and stupendous ideas! Any scripted play, previously published or new between 10 to 60 minutes in length, is eligible for production. Entry fee is $50 and being accepted now until April 4. Only 7 spaces available.
FYI: We can help you find a script if needed, we have a small library in our theatre that potential directors can browse and sign out scripts. Or we can order a script in if there is one you are interested in reading.

GPLT is looking for plays for our 60th Season

The 2022-2023 season of Grande Prairie Live Theatre is approaching very quickly and it will mark our 60th Anniversary season! Slated to begin in September of this year and run through to June of 2023. These past 24 months have not been easy or pleasant for a great many of our patrons and with this in mind we are looking to bring more joy and laughter to the community. As a result, we are requesting that any past or current or new to GPLT director consider submitting any play of a “lighter” nature. We are also seeking anyone who may be new to our city, who may have a theatrical background or is looking to get involved with our theatre to take this opportunity to step forward and become a contributor to the live theatre scene in G.P. Submission forms are available by contacting the GPLT Box Office during regular box office hours or via email at Box.Office@gplt.ca . We ask that all submissions for consideration be dropped off or emailed to the GPLT Box Office by February 28th, 2022.

It’s time for some Holiday Joy! Join us from December 16-19, 2021 for a musical performance of some of our favourite Christmas carols! This show that has been written and compiled by Grande Prairie locals, James R. Galbraith and Rick Hryciuk, will be sure to have you humming along in your seats as a smile broadens across your face! A show that will remind you of laughter, love and the warmth that the holiday season brings. Make sure to escape the cold outside and clap, sing and dance along with us this holiday season!
