15 minute slots can be reserved in advance by contacting the GPLT Box Office. Or just come out we will fit you in. Everyone is welcome.
In the Lounge at Grande Prairie Live Theatre
No prior theatre experience is required.
You do not need to prepare anything in advance for this audition. You will be asked to read from your choice of 12 different speeches. The speeches are not from this play. You will have time to familiarize yourself with your choice. You will be asked to improvise a story based your choice from a selection of interesting props. A fun audition for sure.
List of Characters:
Ava Rose – In her thirties. Killaloe born and raised.
Ellen Pellham – In her twenties or thirties. A rambler in every sense of the word.
Connie Gardiner – In her thirties. Ava’s childhood friend, now rival.
Tucker Dell – In his twenties or thirties. Fresh out of culinary school.
Caleb Seaton – In his thirties. The prodigal Killaloen, returning to be the town reporter.
(The characters may be aged up, keeping in mind that Ava, Connie and Caleb were classmates and should be similar in age.)
Perusal copies of the script available from the GPLT Box Office. There is a $5 Script loan fee that is refunded when you return the script.
