GPLT is 61 years old! Saturday September 16 from 1 to 4 pm you are invited to our “GPLT Revealed” Open House. To say thank you to the thousands of patrons, sponsors and volunteers who have supported us over the past 6 decades, GPLT is opening up our home theatre to everyone! An open house with behind the scenes theatre tours, insider true stories and ghostly tales! and Snacks!
Plus you can save $$$ by getting your season tickets to our plays and concerts. Or pick a favourite seat for any play or concert on your MUST SEE list.

Auditions: To Sir With Love: August 26: Adult Auditions all at 9 am, All Students Audition @ 1 pm

August 26 at GPLT: Open Auditions for all Adults at 9 am. This will be a group audition.
Open Auditions for all Students(ages 14 and up) at 1 pm. This will be a group audition.
There are important Adult and Student roles for members of the African, Caribbean and Black Communities.
Preparation for the audition is HIGHLY recommended.

2nd Notice of GPLT Annual General Meeting Sunday September 10, 2023 at 2 pm.

2nd Notice of the Grande Prairie Live Theatre Annual General Meeting 2 pm September 10, 2023 at GPLT, 10130-98 Avenue Grande Prairie Alberta. Election of Vice President, Secretary, Youth Board Member, and 2 Members at Large for 2 years terms. Nominations are open to any GPLT Member. For more information on the AGM and the nomination/election process contact Manager Wayne Ayling at manager@gplt.ca.
Descriptions of the Board Member Duties:
Every Board Member is expected to attend 11 Board meetings, sit on at least one working committee and participate in Board initiatives. Preparing for meetings by reading documents sent out in advance of each meeting. Contributing new ideas to move GPLT forward.
All those elected to the board will be asked to attend a board orientation and introduction get together within two weeks after the AGM
President Elect: 2 year commitment. The new President Elect automatically becomes the President in the second year.
Vice President: A 3 year commitment. The new Vice President automatically becomes the President Elect and President in the following years.
Secretary: A 2 year commitment. Focus on GPLT taking and preparation of Meeting Minutes. Focus on contributing to Board initiatives and providing new ideas.
Member at Large: A 2 year commitment. Required to sit on at least one working committee. Focus on contributing to Board initiatives and providing new ideas.
Youth Board Member: Must be 16-20. A 1 year commitment. Required to sit on at least one working committee. Focus on contributing to Board initiatives and providing new ideas.
