On Now!

Another multiple award winning play sparkles with the wit of family conflict from April 5 to 21.

This quick witted urban comedy was nominated for 19 awards and won 9 of them including the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play, the Drama League Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Drama Desk Award, New York Drama Critics Circle Award, Theatre World Award, Off Broadway Alliance Award, and Artios Award.

The Comedy is Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang. This wildly funny concoction, which blends characters and themes from Chekhov, centers on the reunion of a glamorous film star of a certain age with her two middle-aged siblings at the family homestead in present-day Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Their soothsayer/cleaning woman Cassandra keeps warning them about terrible things in the future, which include a sudden visit from Masha and her twenty-something boy toy Spike.

Tom Hawkesworth is directing. Devon Potter is the assistant director.
